What to eat in Oman? - Travel Guide to Oman -

Let's divide this into meals or times of the day, but don't feel pressured, you are on vacation and enjoying a beautiful location so if you feel like having breakfast for dinner.... go nuts!

Breakfast

📍 Tea Mood

Omani Coffee (it's like a mix of coffee and tea, it tastes more like tea and less caffeine, good for a slow wake up and for after lunch and dinner)

Omani Breakfast (eggs and cheese wrapped in very thin bread, perfect to eat before going on a hike like the one to explore Wadi Shab)

Lunch

BBQ lamb, chicken, and squid with Omani bread, and different sauces, from sweet to spicy. Nice light lunch to continue the day exploring without getting that after lunch drag.

A wrap with chicken, lamb, salad and french fries, with a spicy sauce and fresh orange juice. (Sorry I forgot to take a picture of the inside of the wrap)

Dinner

Pasta penne with garlic, red sauce, and grilled chicken breast topped with cheese and paired with homemade cheese bread.

Snacks and cravings

Of course, we cannot close this blog without covering those must have snacks and cravings.

📍 At any store, gas station or street vendor

Sohar Chips and Chips Oman are chips made in Oman. You can find them pretty much everywhere in Oman and they have different ones, either spicy, salt and vinegar, regulars, etc.

Dynamite Fries, and I think the name says it all. But just in case it doesn't let me explain, french fries with house made chili, beef bacon, jalapeno, chipotle ranch, and crispy roasted onions. Yes, this was totally a craving, service was great they were super nice and the food was delicious.
